Community Engagement

Here at Visiting Nurse Home Care and Hospice of Carroll County, we are deeply committed to our community. As the only non-profit agency in Carroll County, we offer patients, families and caregivers an array of programs and services.There is no cost to participate in these services.

Highlights:

• Caregiver Expo – This free annual event helps caregivers, patients or those who may be in caregiving roles in the future.We bring in local, regional and national speakers to help community members plan for the future, or find resources right now. Takes place in November each year.
• Hospice Wish Fulfillment, granting small “last wishes” for patients, from a favorite meal to a meaningful family visit.
• Volunteer-led art sessions that bring creativity, expression, and connection to hospice patients.
• Simple Comforts Fund providing assistance for small essential items not covered by insurance for our long-term care patients.
